IGEL Technology Thin Client Software & Hardware

IGEL Technology helps organisations improve the agility, efficiency and security of their virtual desktop and application delivery systems. IGEL produces a wide range of thin clients and zero clients, based on Linux and Microsoft Windows, allowing customers to access a broad spectrum of server-based infrastructures and applications.

Product Portfolio

- The IGEL Universal Desktop (Thin Client) allows users to directly access the greatest variety of centralised IT infrastructures, by utilising the integrated software tools, clients and protocols. Both server-based computing (SBC) and Virtual desktop environments are supported.
- Specialised Zero Clients without compromise: The new IGEL Zero Clients for Citrix HDX, Microsoft RDS/ RemoteFX and VMware Horizon View deliver a true zero client experience without the typical limitations (lack of flexibility, missing manageability) of other vendors products.
- Universal Desktop Converter (UDC2) Software. A highly effective alternative to traditional thin client hardware - the software is installed as the operating system on PCs, notebooks and select thin clients, turning the hardware into a powerful software-based and universally deployable thin client allowing secure access to almost all centralised IT infrastructures.

Why IGEL Technology?

All IGEL thin clients support smartcard readers for secure two-factor authentication, personalisation solutions or single sign-on (SSO) as well as selected USB token solutions

In 1989, IGEL GmbH (IGEL) developed and distributed our first multi video graphic card for UNIX environments. They then started to develop and sell terminals, and in 1997 brought out their first modern thin client. Today analysts recognise IGEL as one of the fastest growing and most visionary thin and zero client vendors in the world.
